You ever feel like someone turned, when you were just minding your own business, a crazy light on you? And naturally, he or she (its probably a woman) is not in the room with you… and there is certainly no actual light. But like when you know where sunlight is suddenly shining on you because of the heat you feel, you feel that sort of activity in your head. And its nothing crazy really. But its weird. Everything looks offensive. Colors are kind of turned up, just enough to make you want to stand up and look around (as if an explanation would be in plain sight) … and there is a palpable thickness of the air. This may be because you’re suddenly aware of all those gases. There are a lot of gases floating around.
Horrible music you can hear, not really coming from anywhere. Can you trust anyone? You’re about to be carried off by that sudden strong gust and someone has said something to you, in fact they’re right in front of you, but you didn’t hear anything except that deafening flourish.
But there’s nothing happening. You just say oh yeah i zoned out for a minute there…what were you saying? And you forget about it. You even get back to work. Write a quick poem or just some ideas, draw something real fast, maybe drink some coffee. Actually don’t drink the coffee. Yeah, every thing’s cool. Reflect on the state of things… hmm. It’s actually a nice, brisk day out there- you could be filling out some applications. Little whorls of glare sort of writhe between your eyelids.
